Firestorm

Damn you, Mr Paul...

Oh well. 81-1 can win first place in the west right? lol. Regardless of last night, I'm still optimistic. It'll be a good season.

Its funny how people can surprise you. Every Tuesday and Thursday, Ronnie, Claude, Joomee, and myself go to LAPSI(Learning Assistant Program/Supplemental Instruction) for California history. Going to this not only gives us extra credit but it also elaborates on the lectures. Anyways, LAPSI was running late today because no one could open the room up or something? So while we were waiting we were just chatting and playing with my mac and then all of a sudden this older man named Jeff comes and says "hey cool mac, I see you got some garageband action going on here" We start laughing and then he tells us about how he records. I would've never guessed. Oh, by the way, Jeff is in LAPSI as well as our history class. Joomee goes to the computers and checks her emails and then Jeff starts talking to us about his history in the music business. The whole time he's talking, I'm just like "no way!" I least expected this guy to do music. He has an album on vinyl which I thought was pretty neat. He was talking about how he worked w/ some of the 80's biggest pop groups and how his 1st wife screwed him over from being famous which Ronnie, Claude, and myself got a kick out of. He then showed us some of his music and while it was playing, he was just rocking out in the hyman hall. It was amazing seeing this dude full of life. I would have never expected this from the man who sits in front of class, constantly asking questions. To be honest, I thought it was sort of annoying but I got to know the dude and he's not bad at all. He's a really nice fellow. My perception of him was completely off. Its always a pleasent surprise when people exceed your expectations. It was a nice way to end the school day. What was once a gloomy rain filled afternoon was brightened by this man's enthusiasm and outlook on life.

ahhhh....

Don't stress. Just take it one day at a time and I should be ok.

Midterms are this week and its prettttttty stressful. That whole working hard to get to where i need to be isn't working out so well. You would of thought that i would work a lot harder with the amount of units im taking but im actually working less and less. I'm like less inclined to do work. Im sure after the disappointments of this first set of midterms I will change my ways. Its pretty sad that I need to do poorly to motivate me to do well on the next set of tests but whatever. I'm currently just cramming everything now but i'll just take it a day at a time and everything should work out ok right? I'm just pretty whatever right now lol.

On a brighter note...

actually there is no brighther note. life is blah lol.

So I lost my wallet on Thursday. My dad woke me up Friday morning at 8. He said "if I were to go to the dmv any later, I would have to wait a really long time" So I get there and I wait about 30 minutes and they call my number. I then ask for a temporary license and they ask for 22 dollars. I'm like "crap, I don't have a wallet" I then go home, get money, and wait for 3 freaking hours.

Wow, the niners choked to say the least. What a terrible way to end my weekend. It was surprisingly ok up to this point. To add injury to insult, my fantasy team got rocked. After today I will be 1 - 5.

Lets recap...

Friday - I chose not to go to school. I'd thought I would give myself a break and it was much needed. However, I ended up doing nothing that whole day. I went to the gym at around 8ish? Not surprisingly, there was like 4 people in the gym. After the gym, I went home and did...homework! How exciting right?

Saturday - I had speech class. It was more dreadful then usual. We had a sub. Thats right, a sub?! Who does that in college? I don't know why our teacher just didn't cancel class but whatever. Our sub was rather bitchy as well. She didn't wanna be there just as much as we did. We practiced our intro and I looked like an idiot up there. Oh well. After class, I went to lunch w/ my family then went to my grandparents house. After hanging out w/ my cousins for some time, I went over to the twins house join in the celebration of Chen and Thanh's birthday. It was fun. Chung got super drunk again. I just chilled, sang some karaoke, and caught up with some people. When I got there, I saw Sashley. In my head, I was thinking "ughhh this is gonna be awkward?" As time went on, we started talking and we cleared up some misunderstandings and now we're solid. Its unfortunate we didn't work out but it was clear that we were better off as friends. We were too different. Anywho, I left around 130ish. Apparently, I left just in time. I guess things got out of control? I dunno the whole story but I believe everyone is ok so thats good. Overall, a nice evening w/ good company.

Today - football and homework. They went hand in hand today. Other then that, I did a whole lot of nothing.

I have a fat ass headache and I need to get my homework done soooooo I will end this lackluster blog. Sorry readers. I soon hope to write a blog that will blow your mind!

Its funny...

how people can indirectly affect you.

I just needed to step away from the forests to see the trees.
