Somebody's got a case of the Mondays

I can't believe its only Monday. It's going to be a long week...

Sorry to my reader(s), I've been really lazy to blog. In my previous post, I mentioned my garage getting broken into. I didn't realize anything was taken until last week. My deck remote, sunglasses, and workout gloves were all taken. For some strange reason, they didn't take my deck or ipod; stupid amateurs. I really wish they hadn't taken my gloves though. I just bought a new pair of them like 2 days prior. Also, my sunglasses were a gift from my friend Ron. That was pretty upsetting.

On Friday Lupe Fiasco came to USF to perform. Matt had told me about this about 2 weeks before and I was pretty excited and then...BAM. My teacher emails me and tells me that I have a mandatory speech to attend that same day at 7. I'm like really?! With the exception of our class who is really gonna go to Ohlone on a Friday night and listen to a guest speaker? If I were the speaker and saw the turnout, I would be too depressed to speak. Anyways, 2 days prior to the speech, I get an email saying that the speech is postponed. I'm like    -____-

Are you serious?!?!!?! In my head I'm thinking "great, another pretty wack Friday. Billy was at work, Ammo was going to the concert, and Joomee was probably with Jester. So to prevent me from staying home all night I text Chung and tell him to hit me up when he goes to workout. While I was at home watching the Rockets/Mavericks game I get a call from  and she asks if I wanted to kick it. So I go pick her up and we head to Safeway cause I needed bread and cheese. After that we went to my house and watched The Office. Actually, I was watching it and Jinjer was taking random pictures w/ my camera. Chung calls at about 9:30 and I could tell he really didn't wanna lift. Jinjer had been complaining how she really wanted to watch high school musical 3 so we walk to Foodmax to one of those red box things. To her dismay, they didn't have it. Oh well, it was a nice walk filled with great conversation. After we decide to get some tea station and then we headed back to my place and we just chilled and exchanged and listened to music till about midnight-ish I think? My Friday didn't go as planned but it was great catching up with Jinjer. Us hanging out have been far and few between but whenever we do its always enjoyable.

As for the weekend, dang was it slow. Minutes seemed like hours.

Today was slightly more bearable. Only slightly...

I went to my U.S history class at 9:15 and found out we don't have class on Wednesday. That was probably the lone bright spot in my day. Today we learned about Benjamin Franklin and how he was the greatest Renaissance man ever and we watched a documentary on him that was filmed the same way the real world would be filmed? It was pretty corny but funny. Anyways, I enjoy this class but I feel like its gonna be hella hard to regurgitate what we're learning on the midterm and final. After class Joomee, Ronnie, and myself went to Quiznos for lunch then headed back to hyman hall to study for my test tomorrow. I must've been in there for 4 hours? After studying, I went home, took a nap,  got more studying done, then dinner. Following dinner came the warriors game. *Sigh, this game was embarrassing. They were just like "oh hey lets just not play defense or take pride in ourselves and lose to one of the shittiest teams" I'm pretty sure that was their mindset. I just needed to release some endorphins after that sorry excuse for a game so I went to the gym to lift with Chung and that is how my day ended. Its 12:46 now and I need to study. I mentioned studying about 3 or 4 times earlier in this blog but I really don't remember much as I sort of just skimmed? I dunno, I'm hella lazy right now and tired. I'll probably just wake up early and study. Old habits die hard.

I feel like Peter Gibbons pre-hypnosis. It's gonna be a long week...

Rain, rain rain. Its been raining non stop for the last like 3 days. So yesterday I went to the Silliman center to play some basketball and some of the 08 guys were there and my brother and his friends showed up. Its been a while since I've played there and during my first game the score was like 10-8 us but then my brother thought otherwise. We were arguing the whole time up and down the court and then he got the ball and i was guarding him. He lowered his shoulder and like elbowed me. I'm like "are you shitting me right now?" Then I took the ball down and shot a 3 in his face. It was pretty rewarding. lol. Then me and him started talking trash to each other and getting into each others faces. One of my teamates said "yeah, we got the better brother". That got him pretty upset. We're both pretty competitive people but after 5 minutes we were ok.

Anyways, its like 10:30 and I have this research proposal thing due for psych at 1145. This assignment was given to me the first day of class. I don't know why I continue to put everything off till last minute. I don't even know why I'm blogging right now but i haven't written in a while so yeah. I could have done this last night but I got pretty distracted looking at people's flickrs. I came across my friend Margeret's flickr Here's the link

While I was going through her pictures I was thinking to myself "man, do I underutilize my camera" It really made me wanna go out and shoot like right then. I then realized I had this stupid project. Long story short, I chose to sleep and wake up at like 730 hoping that would give me enough time to finish. Just like my camera, I underutilized my time -___-

Its weird how sometimes, everything just falls into place. Its like that Marilyn Monroe quote:

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they go right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart, so that better things can fall together"

I dunno, everything just worked out (with the exception of my garage being broken into this morning) I can't really explain it but uhm today Joomee had to get her transcripts for SJSU and I really didn't have any intention on getting my transcripts cause neither Davis nor UCLA -not that i know of - has asked for them yet but I ended up just filling the form and it turned out I didn't pay for all of my classes yet. I know its not that big a deal but I'm glad I found out now because later on it could have prevented me from getting my grades to other schools in time which could possibly deny admission maybe? I dunno? It was just a bunch of small things like that that occured today to give me that falling into place feeling.

Actually, after I reread that quote, I don't think it fits that well. Sort of but not really? Whatever my girl friend made it to top 36 on American Idol :)

Today is the first day of the rest of your life

Monday, February 2, 2009

I just got back from my night class...sort of.

So Robbie and I are taking Speech 105(intercultural communications) and we walk into class, take our seats, and pull out our stuff and what not and our teacher says "ok, in critical thinking(speech 102) blah blah". I'm like...this isn't intercultural?" It turns out that our first meeting is next week. -___-

Oh well, every cloud has its silver lining. I didn't have to miss the Warriors game. I predict a close game tonight. I say, Warriors lose by 5 in OT because Ginobli gets bailed out by the referees in regulation. Stephen Jackson will go off for 33 points.

Jk. I started this blog before the game and got too distracted so I'm finishing it now. Its about 10:40. How cool would that be if I really did predict all that?! To nobodies surprise this was another nail biter that went the warriors opposition's way. Theres always next year...

Now I'm off to do homework. It sucks getting back into school mode but once I get back in to the swing of things I should be fine.Oh and disregard that last girl I blogged about. Here's my new interest:

Meet Megan Corkrey; she's delightful :)
