I'm officially an Aggie now. I submitted my statement of intent to register today. I sort of felt like a high school prep star without the endless amount of schools to choose from. I had the choices of Davis, Santa Barbara, and San Jose. UCLA and Berkeley rejected me. When I got my rejection letters, I was pretty sad; for the lack of a better word. A little part of me thought I should have got into one of those schools and if I did get into one of those schools I would really consider attending them. Its ok though, I'm off to Davis and I will make the best of it. I also printed out the rejection letters to use as motivation =)

21
First off, thank you to everyone who greeted me a Happy Birthday whether it was via phone call, text message, comment, or in person. I 'm really thankful for each greeting.
I didn't do much on my actual birthday. I had pulled an all nighter that night so I was
pretty tired. I just went to school and then came home and took a long ass nap. Sam called me to go to Ben and Jerry's but I was too tired. Sorry Sam! Later that night, I worked out - if you can actually call it that. It was hella shitty. Chung then took me out to Wingstop. We ordered the family size; definitely not a good idea. I had a date w/ the toilet later that night. It was cool though, we bromanced it up lol. Later that night, I just chilled with Ammo and Billy
I got hella free meals this week. It was pretty sweet. Jinjer and Jon took me out to BJ's on Wednesday. They got me my first drink as a 21-er. Oh and thanks jinj, for the jacket and flannel. On Thursday, Derek took me out to Olive Garden. Thanks brother.
Now comes Friday...
It was my first time getting drunk. It was pretty fun. Now I know what all the fuss is about lol. So I arrive to Tommy's house and Kelly gives me this cake with a nice happy birthday sign on it.

Thanks Kelly
So we start drinking Jager. It was pretty good. I ended up having like 9,10, or 11 shots I think? According to Billy I suck at turning down drinks. Here's what he wrote in his blog
"He has difficulty saying "no" to more offers of alcohol.
Actually, he can say "no" just fine, it's just that the
effectiveness of his "no" is about as effective as those
"Baby On Board" signs people put in their cars when they have newborns. People
see and recognize it, but it doesn't really mean an
ything to them. "

I don't really remember much. I do remember joe and I kicking ass in beer pong

"raw, like uncooked meat"

This was after our 4th victory. We went 4-1 that night.

The rest of the night was a blur. I remember getting my foot stuck in a bin and hella bitching about it cause my foot was asleep? And by putting my foot in that bin would somehow awake my foot?

Apparently, I kept repeating "I feel so irresponsible" or "I'm so embarrassed"
Yesterday was terrible. I had the shittiest hangover. It made me not wanna drink ever again. I woke up and I was like "psh hangover smhanover". I felt fine until I got up and proceeded downstairs. I threw up 50 bagillion times that day. It was worth it though. I got to spend time a night with some old and new friends. It was a night to remember - sort of. I know, I remember enjoying myself so its all gravy. Thanks to Ammo for putting it together and thanks to Tommy for hosting it. With a few minor exceptions, I had a great birthday.

It's amazing how the smallest actions can lead to the biggest changes. It's tough when those who typically come through don't come through that one time when you need them the most. On the flip side, it's never a surprise when the ones who do come through time and time again, come through just one more time.

Nation's Capital
First off, sorry Stan for wasting your time lol. It took me a couple days to get back into the swing of things but I've adjusted back to the west coast (I make it seem like I was gone forever). Alright, heres a recap of DC:

As I get to Long Beach I have about 2 hours to kill. I ended up watching Role Models and playing Sudoku. I'm ranked "clinically insane" in that game which I'm quite proud of. I get on the plane and I sit next to a little girl and her mom. Throughout the whole ride she was watching whatever was on Nickelodeon and she was laughing super loud. I didn't really mind but a lot of the people around me seemed to get annoyed. I thought it was really nice too see her have all this joy and happiness that a lot of adults/teens seem to be lacking. I was watching for the love of ray-j and the mom looked at me like I was some bad kid for watching it or something lol. I ended up just reading my textbook. About halfway through the ride got pretty turbulent. I was thinking to myself "I hope its not another oceanic flight 815". After about 10 minutes of turbulence, it was smooth flying from there on. I meet up with Derek at the airport and we get to the hotel via bus and the metro station. The metro is their version of BART, but the the stations look way cooler. The architecture was pretty amazing.

The escalators seemed like they went for miles
So we get to the hotel and we see hella guys in skirts square dancing. It turns out there was a gay square dancing convention in town. What are the odds?!
Some of the flowers outside the hotel:
Friday: If you google top things to do in DC, going to the Smithsonian museums is pretty much number 1 on every list - they were crap. I do not know why they're world famous. Derek and I went to visit the national air and space museum and 2 other ones? They were so bad, that I forgot. There was only one neat thing that I saw which was Dorothy's red slippers.

I actually can't remember the sequence of events from here on out so the rest of the blog may be all over the place. The best part of the trip was the wax museum.

Me failing at doing the people's eyebrow
Gilbert Arenas aka "hibachi:
Sunday: It was Easter, so Derek went to the National Cathedral. I was under the impression that we got free wifi in our rooms but we actually had to pay for them. They charged 13 bucks for 24 hours. We paid, and it ended up not working which was hella wack. I ended up using the computers in the lobby area. As I was doing my homework, a girl sat next to me to do some work and she asks me if I knew of any good places to eat. I told her I'm not from around here - (which I thought was pretty obvious, seeing as I was in a hotel -but that there was a Mcdonalds across the street. She said thanks and walked away. After 5 seconds or so, she came back and asked me if I wanted to go eat with her. I ended up going with her and we chilled for about an hour. It was pretty random but it was a new expereince eating with a complete stranger. Her name is Ashley and she was from Utah. She was here for a wedding. I think I would
have hung out with her more if she wasn't leaving that night but whatevs.
probably the first person to do this -__-
Just like Mr. Wasser
Monday: To end the trip, we went to the national zoo. It was my first time ever at a zoo. However, I only saw like 8 different animals and most of them were birds -___- It was raining so I wasn't surprised. After the zoo we headed to the airport and hung out there for about 3 hours. I took a nap, watched Rocket Science(great movie), and read. While we were flying home, my t.v stopped working. One side of the plane got tv shows and one side got movies. I was on the movie side which would have been cool if I had more than 2 movies. I got Marley and me and Revolutionary Road. The guy who was sitting next to me was pretty cheesed off. We both ended up just watching Marley and me. Everytime a funny scene came up we looked at each other and just laughed or something. I gotta admit, that movie was pretty sad. The guy next to me was pretty close to crying. In a non gay way we shared a few moments
lol.
I'm getting super tired so I'm just gonna quickly map out the rest of the trip
- Spy museum: I was really looking forward to this but it was directed for little kids. Derek introduced himself to everyone as Chuck
- Holocaust museum: It was pretty intense. We would have stayed longer if...? I actually don't remember why
- I lost my credit card
- We unnecessarily walked hella much
- Vietnam war memorial
- Food locations were far and few between
Overall the trip was ok. I think everyone should at least go to DC once just to visit the monuments but I wouldn't recommend anyone going there unless you want to be bored! DC is pretty much a point and look place as Derek put it. You're like, "oh look, the white house". Thats about it. If anything, it was a good barometer to gauge how well Derek and I would fare when we move to Davis; it was a good opportunity for me and Derek to bro it up. Nonetheless, I'm glad to be back home. California weather shits on DC's.

D.C. part 1
So I just landed in Long Beach. The flight was alright. My ears didn't pop as much as I suspected which was nice. However, I was sitting next to a rather large man who snored like no other. It was as if he was snoring through a microphone. I was trying to do some homework, so it was rather distracting. Now I have to wait about 2 hours till my flight to D.C. It's been a long morning. I started packing last night at 12ish and I went to bed at around 2. It ended up taking so long, cause I couldn't focus. I ended up watching I love you, man online. Anyways, I woke up at 6 and my parents drove me to the airport. They were being so annoying on the way to the airport. Maybe it was because I was really cranky? It was like they were trying to see who could annoy me more. I'll try and get a blog in when I get to D.C.

Grab some pine, meat

Aaron Rowand telling the Brewers to suck it
Today was opening day for the Gigantes. I haven't been this excited since opening night for the Warriors. Hopefully, the Giants won't suffer the same fate as the Warriors. The Giants won today; at this pace they'll go 162-0. I'm not biased either.
I haven't really been keeping up w/ my gratitude list but the past 2 days have brought some nice moments that I wanted to jot down.
- Mike Ormonde messaged me on facebook and we caught up and had a nice little conversation
- Derek and I went to watch Adventureland (don't watch it)
- My friend Kym came to class today. She went to New York last week and I thought she was gonna come back on Thursday. She saved me from the misery of this dreaded 1 1/2 hour class
- Me, Chung, Adnan, and Fahad had a pretty good workout and ended up talking about some pretty random topics
- My teacher is letting me make up a quiz that I will be missing when I head to D.C

So last night my cousin Stan threw a party for what reason? I dunno, but it was fun. My original plans for that night was to go to Kat's birthday dinner thing, but you had to be over 21 or you wouldn't be able to get in after 9. I didn't get back from my grandma's house till 930 so that kat's shindig was out of the question. I then picked up Billy and we went to Stan's house in San Jose. I had an enjoyable evening. Once again I'm too lazy to blog so I'm just gonna use the good ol' bullet points:
- My friend Clayre gave me a lap dance. I thought that was kind of strange. Everyone was watching too which made it even more awkward but whatevs.
- Billy was super wasted and had me pull over on the freeway so he could pee
- Chung got drunk and turned into the hulk again.
- Kym bit my nipple along with Ammo and others?(She was drunk)
- Nice discussion with Sunny. Throughout the discussion I was thinking to myself that he is probably one of the most uncanny people I'll ever meet. Here's the link to his blog. There's some interesting stuff on there http://everydaylegend.nfshost.com/legend
It was a gratifying evening. I got to catch up with some old Newark friends whom I don't see as much anymore, which is always nice. Here's some pictures from last night (stolen from Billy)

Me and Kellie

Nikhil, Ammo, Kelly, Stan, and myself

Billy labeled me Cantonese Hercules and Killer Curry for Ammo; it was the alcohol speaking as those are some lame names lol. jk billy.

Thank you Stan for being a great host. Goodnight world.

There are times when you act without thinking things through and it can get you into some sticky situations. By doing so it will cause you to act out of character and after you do whatever you did you're just like "wtf, why did I just do that?" You just have to hope that you haven't burned any bridges and hope for the best.
