Thanksgiving

I had a much better Thanksgiving then I expected. It was a great transition into the Christmas season. Every year my group of friends from high school throw a thanksgiving get together thing so on Wednesday we all went to Robbie's house for the dinner. It was a lot more fun then I anticipated it would be. I don't really keep in touch with a lot of the people and apparently there was some drama within the group? I dunno. I figured it would be sort of awkward but it wasn't like that at all. We had nice conversations accompanied by great food and company. We played Apples to Apples and Catch phrase too. Sorry to my teamates for sucking at catch phrase by the way.

Me entertaining Sierra w/ my iphone
Sierra, me, Sees, and Lam
Jester, Sees, Deja, Sierra, and me
JoomJoom and me (she actually looked presentable for once) haha jk douche
Best.
The group

Although we have all gone on separate paths after high school, its great that we can still find time every year to get together and just catch up and rekindle old relationships that have faded over the years. Its what the holidays are all about.

Thursday: I had thanksgiving dinner with my dads side of the family. We went to my aunts house in Alameda. Almost all of my cousins showed up which rarely happens. I got to catch up with my cousin Kristen. She's probably my closest cousin and we talked for a while. We don't hang out much but when we do, its always great. I killed her in guitar hero. No surprise there. lol

Saturday: Saturday was the all day sports turkey tournament. When Stan told me about this I was so excited. I was anticipating this for weeks. I went into this tournament, thinking that our team of me, Lam, Amitoj, Stan, Billy, Daniel, Arnel, Henry, and big Jeff would dominate. Boy was I wrong. We got slaughtered in every category. First part of the tourny was ultimate frisbee. I had never played before and I thought the game would be pretty wack but it turned out to be pretty fun. We lost 10-3 in the first game and like 8-5 in the second game. Suprisingly, that was the sport we were most competitive in. Consequently, that doesn't bode well for the rest of our events.

The next event was flag football. The first game was against Tino, Frankie, Anthony Sao, Mike Biggs and every other football player in Newark. It was over before it started. The score was like 70-0. We finally had enough and decided to call the game lol. The next game was a nail biter. We lost 30-14 lol. There was some extra curricular activities going on after that game. Our team and there team got into it. It was mainly Stan and some white dude on there team. I could see this coming the whole game. There team was talking hella trash to us and the arguing and bickering was inevitable.

After everything cleared up we had a bye and then basketball came along. I was most excited for this because I felt that our team had more contol of the outcome of the game. This was our sport. We were getting killed lol. We sort of resembled the Oklahoma Thunder or shall I say it...the Golden State Warriors. However, this would ring true if we had any sort of scoring. We had the defense of the warriors and the offense of the sf giants. Yeah, it was that bad. We basically stunk of the joint. We didn't get to finish this debacle of a game because the team we got into it w/ earlier got into it w/ my brother and his team. The host just ended up calling it a day.

We were left winless. We were the ONLY team not to win a single game. Albeit, we got robbed in our second ultimate frisbee game. The ref cheated us out of a score. Oh well, all in all it was a fun day minus all the trash talking. it was fun to be in the relm of competition with your boys.

After that I went to Milpitas to have a late thanksgiving dinner w/ my moms side of the family. I've never ate that much in my life. I had the fattest stomache ache and I had a date w/ the bathroom for like 30 minutes. lol. Later that night, after Milpitas, I hung out with Maria. She came by, picked me up, and we drove to birch. We just chilled on the swings and caught up on life for about 2 hours. It was great seeing her after about 2 months? She's a breath of fresh air. It was a pleasent way to end the day

It was a great day over all and a nice way to end my thanksgiving break.

LG; lifes good

...I found out I don't have to take classes at Chabot anymore, which is awesome for me and my non gas friendly car. As well as my schedule being set, I have a second interview at Olive Garden coming up, and my personal statements are done! Its like...every ball is bouncing my way. Its a nice change

So I saw this thread from one of the blogs that i read daily and in the light of the holidays being around the corner she made a list of things she loves so I will do the same

Things I Currently Love

1) Golden State Warriors; Although they have been playing rather poorly as of late, its still comforting to know that I can come home from school and enjoy warriors basketball for 2-3 hours

2) Prison Break season 4 - I didn't have high expectations after that sorry excuse of a season that season 3 was. I'm on the edge of my seat or bed throughout the whole episode and I cringe when they leave us w/ a cliffhanger at the end of each show. I get that same feeling I get when I watched season 1 =)

3)Fantasy Basketball - My teams are, how would you say it? Invincible? Yeah, something along those lines

4)Winter Break - Christmas and the thoughts of no Ohlone for 2 months?!

I tend to complain and whine about pretty much everything but these simple things keep me happy. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Be safe!

Its 1:30...

and I'm watching This Christmas. Lately I've been seeing commercials for this movie coming out on DVD and I'm wondering to myself "didn't this movie come out last year"? I saw it last year with Jinjer and Jester. Anyways, I end up going to Walmart and buying the movie. The movie got me really excited for Christmas. Plus Lauren London is nice eye candy.

So I'm done w/ my college applications with the exception of the personal statement. I applied to:

San Diego State
San Jose State
UC Davis
UC Berkeley (I will use the rejection letter as motivation)
UC Santa Cruz

I logged onto my photobucket looking for an old video and found pictures that brought back a lot of old memories:

Jinjer, me, and Mr. Huynh; arguably the greatest teacher ever -___-
Arianne and me
Senior Ball w/ Ashley
Jinshizzle Dizzle
Leanne's cotillion court
Rachelle and me during Jr. Prom
Billy, myself, and Ron before Dublin Homecoming
Choir performance @ Ardenwood

I look back and I wonder what was I thinking with my attire? I wore 3xl shirts up to sophmore year. My haircuts were sometimes attrocious, if not all the time...

ahhhh where has the time gone?! I'm satisfied with the life I have now but it is a lot tougher then it once was. These pictures just reminded me of how much things have changed. While I've formed new relationships, others have slightly diminished. Even though I knew that it was inevitable that some relationships would fade away, I still haven't really come to terms with it. And now with me leaving for college soon, there are still some relationshps with certain people that I don't want to leave unresolved I guess? I dunno, I can't really think of the right combination of words to explain. Maybe one day it'll just hit me. I'm off to bed. Goodnight world.

I'M TOO BUSY TO BLOG... so here's Claude!!!

Hi I'm Claude Arthur Quebec and I like to rhyme words. Words like Blog and Claude. It rhymes kinda? Andrew is too busy to blog so I'm here to step in on this lame ass blog and give it some life. Ahhh life... isn't it grand? Today I had adobo. Andrew didn't have adobo today because Andrew is Chinese and Chinese people don't eat Adobo. What he probably did eat was Peking Duck. Because all Chinese people love Peking Duck.

Anyways, I need to write a paper for history. I'm Sorry Andrew couldn't be here, but he says, " Ching chong chong ching bing bong ding dong."

Stay hungry stay foolish

For my speech class I had to analyze a speech and I decided to do Steve Jobs 2005 commencement speech. I came across it about 2 years ago. I love this speech. The message is great and it really inspired me to ask for more out of myself. I really recommend that everyone watches it.
