I have walked up and down those dreaded Ohlone stairs for the last time. After 3 long years, I finally received my AA and now I'm off to Davis. To symbolize the end of my Ohlone career was my graduation. Originally, I planned on not attending but my parents received a letter in the mail saying I was eligible to walk. My parents insisted that I do it. I finally caved in, and on the day of graduation both my parents weren't able to attend. My dad had to show some people a house in Frisco and my mom got sick. I secretly think she just wanted to watch the Laker game. I honestly didn't mind. If anything, I found it funny that they were the ones who were adamant about me going and they were the ones who didn't make it.
I was late coming back from San Jose so I had no time to change. I was the only dude wearing shorts under their gown -_-

Before ceremony; Gabe looking super happy to graduate

As I celebrated with my old high school friends and new Ohlone friends after graduation, I was overcome with acute nostalgia for my days in junior college. Going into Ohlone, I thought the process would be quick and easy. For some reason I was under the impression that I would just keep the same group of friends I had throughout high school and I wouldn't form any new relationships; I was wrong. Not only did I maintain or strengthen my relationships with high school friends, I was able to formulate many new friendships at Ohlone. At times, those two groups coincided as well.

I left my camera with Jinjer and I found these on there:

Thanks guys!
If you had told me 3 years ago, that I would miss Ohlone, I would have called you a liar. It is now time for me to embark on a new journey. All of the friendships I have made, made this experience all worth it. I know it seems silly to be reminiscing about a jc but whatever. Thank you to all my friends - new or old - who have been there for me these past 3 years and made my Ohlone experience a lot more enjoyable than I would have ever imagined.

Excuse my memory but I don't remember what your AA is in. But off to the land of Davis, where like a million Newark kids went. At least the people I knew.
