lazy sunday = lazy blog

  • I woke up sweating and not wanting to do anything only to realize we have a game at 2:30.
  • Head over to Southland to pick up Ryan
  • Game begins and we lose 35-50 or something? I hella wasn't in the mood and my box score reflected that. What makes it even worse is that we probably played the second shittiest team. We're now 0-3 and heading towards Detroit Lion status.
  • Eat togo's and fall asleep on the floor
  • Watched Gameplan w/ the parentals
  • Go biking
  • Watch BET awards w/ Steven and Patrick
  • Jenny calls at like 10 and we head over to safeway only for her to steal some bulk candy. I would've been an accomplice if she had gotten caught
  • Head over to taco bell and chill till like midnight
  • We see homeless kids outside chilling and she explains to me that they're gutterpunks. Im like...?
Urban dictionary defines gutter punks as:

A homeless hardcore alcoholic/drug addicted crusty young street punk who is proud of his totally non excistant personal hygiene, always unwashed in the same filthy clothes. Known to have 'crab races' with their body lice as an entertainment amongst them. panhandling, prostituting or drugdealing (stealing) for money, sometimes living in filthy derelict buildings or squats and with few possession

Apparently there are a lot of them in SB. We then drive a bit listening to some Manu Chao. My day got progressively better as the weather cooled down. I'm not a big fan of sweating but overall, it was not a bad day at all.

his mom just cancelled his WOW account

This is probably how I'll react if the Warriors somehow are stupid enough to draft Tyler "Psycho T" Hansbrough today. I wonder how Mr. Huynh would react if I did that to him lol

Orientation

I just got home from Davis. My ipod died, making it a long long long ride home. I had just come back from orientation and it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I did show up an hour late even though I stayed at jonjon's place the night before just so I could avoid being late but whatever. I didn't miss much except for getting my I.D card and the learning of the aggie fight song. My orientation leader ended up being my friend Marina from high school. It was hella random but hella cool. We took a tour of campus and picked our classes. I didn't think this all that would warrant a 9 hour day. Prior to picking our classes, our internet died so we couldn't actually register. That along w/ the weather made me hella mad but it ended up being ok. Our group just chilled in the dorm playing 2 truths 1 lie. This one girl had a pretty good one. It was something like...

I've broken 8 bones
My brother caught barry bonds 714th homerun (the one that tied babe ruth)
I have 10 pets

It turns out the lie was I have 10 pets. I met the sister of the brother who caught barry bonds 714th home run! lol. She was telling us how her brother got his 15 minutes of fame and went on Jimmy Kimmel and all that. She was pretty jealous cause she was suppose to go to the game but didn't feel well enough or something. Anyways, that game took hella time and made me forget that we weren't able to register yet.  Our group was pretty diverse. It reminded me of the Breakfast club. I was Andrew Clark, of course. jk. Our internet finally came back on and we picked our classes and left. The process went a lot faster and smoother than I thought it would. Allie Moore hits me up and wants to grab dinner. I figure why not? I haven't seen her in about 2 years and I don't really want to be sitting in traffic, so I take her up on that offer. After about 30 minutes of getting lost, I finally find her place and we just talk and chill. She ends up making me some shrimp chardonnay pasta thing which was hella good.

Marina stops by and we all just chill for about 2 hours. I head home feeling satisfied knowing that I am officially an Aggie. I just have to get use to the weather.

Castle Rock

Today I went to Castle Rock with my cousin Kristen and her some of her friends. Its been a while since I hung out with just my cousin. The only times I really see her are at family gatherings. I was actually talking to Stan about this a while back I think? We were talking about how in Chinese families we just hang out with family at family things and they aren't seen as friends? Just cousins. I wish I had relationships with my cousins the same way jinjer has with hers. I love Kristen and hopefully we'll find more time to chill aside from the family parties. Today was a small stepping stone towards that.
Us pretending to fall off the rock. I should win an emmy

I wake up at 8 to get ready for my brothers graduation. My parents weren't ready till about 8:26-ish and they insisted on getting McDonalds coffee. We get there and I'm sweating like crazy already. The combination of sweat and my parents annoying me made wanna be in Pismo even more w/ Jinjer and her cousins. The graduation lasted about an hour and a half. I get on the field and take a few pictures

Me and the broham

Steven and his longtime friend Anna
The parentals
Always good to see...

We then proceed on to Milpitas for Dim Sum (this reminded me of when Billy finished reading Stan's blog about stereotyping. Billy read that blog and called him after to see what he was doing and he was eating dim sum with his family which made billy hella laugh). After dim sum I then headed over to Alameda to hang out w/ my dad's side of the family to have an early fathers day celebration. I don't see this side of the family often, so it was nice mingling with everyone.

Later that evening, me, Billy, Stan, Sunny, and Henry head over to Santa Cruz to chill with Lam and his girlfriend Trang who is pretty darn cool. Good job Lam! The ride over was pretty interesting as Billy was already drunk from hanging out w/ his brother and sisters. We were originally suppose to have a bon fire but the beaches close at 10 so we just played hella games of beer pong at Lam's apartment. I guess we were celebrating Lam's last few days at that apartment? I dunno. It was fun though.

Trang and I went 4-2; Sunny decided to only play well against us

Me, Billy, and Trang

It was a fun night w/ some close friends. Oh and Lam is super duper light weight. Billy and I head home at around 4 and I somehow ended up in Los Gatos for a bit. It was a weird little suburban area. Billy yacked for a good 10 minutes. I had originally planned to play some 2k9 that evening but instead I got to play some pong, chill with friends, and drive home while watching the sunrise.

Something just hit me; it may not work out. I sorta knew it all along but it became clearer after tonight

Sunday, June 14, 2009

Today squadzilla had their first league game. The final score was 51-24; we had 24   -____-

Jenny stopped by tonight; it was really nice seeing her. The last time we hung out was probably last summer when we chilled at McDonalds for like 3 hours. We just sat on the front porch and just caught up. As we were talking, it just reminded me why i liked her so much at one point. She's just this really cool spontaneous chick who just does things that you wish you had the courage to do. I guess, she was everything that I wasn't? Oh well, this was all in the past and it will stay there.

Sundays are usually pretty lame but today wasn't so bad.

Hangovers

A lot of things annoy me, such as:

  • Phones going off in class (put your damn phone on vibrate!)
  • Anderson Varejao
  • Ed Hardy clothing
  • Melted ice cream
  • when people don't close their toothpaste cap
  • Myspace's with unorganized layouts (diff size pics etc)
  • Wannabe gangsters
  • The noise that nails on a chalkboard make
  • The Lakers
  • People who wear sunglasses indoors
  • People who save large amounts of seats for other people at the theaters
All of these are pretty annoying. However, none of these are as annoying as hangovers. Last night, I went clubbing at Sabor with Jinjer's sister and cousins. I think it was my first time hanging out w/ her family without her there? Anyways, I had too much to drink within a short time span. Too many people were buying me drinks and I didn't say no. I felt bad cause I had Myer pull over like 3 times so I could yack. And when I got back to my house, I threw up a few more times. Embarrassing enough, some of my neighbors heard me too.

I went to sleep drunk and woke up a throwing up. Hangovers make me never wanna touch alcohol ever again. I left the house once today to go to Olive garden with Joomee, Kimmie, Deja, and Sierra. I thought I could eat but I just sat there on the verge of throwing up. I came home and watched the secret life of the american teenager all day. There was some marathon on some random channel. I think Amy Juergens is so cute. She's kinda young but I don't care. Everyone talks about Miley Cyrus so its ok. Plus she shits on Miley Cyrus.

Off to bed at...10:00 on a friday night -____-

UP

I just got back from watching UP with this girl who I have this slight crush on (The people who read this probably know who she is). It was a good movie, but that was to be expected from the creators of Toy Story and The Incredibles. I wanted to hold hands but my hands were super sweaty. Its not like I was nervous or anything. I mean, I've known this girl for a while now. For some reason my hands sweat all the time. I'm constantly finding myself wiping my hands w/ my pants before any social gatherings to somewhat avoid my hands being all gross. Actually, I just did some premature research and I think I might have hyperhidrosis. Instead I just put my arm around her. We'll see where it goes from here. It was a great evening =)

when you're the best of friends; an ode to jinjer

The bell rings at 1:42 and I leave my biology class. I pull out my class schedule to see what class I go to next. I see that I end the day with the worst possible subject ever - math. Little did I know, this would become my most enjoyable class of the year. I walk in and I don't recognize anyone except for Danica Espiritu but she's somewhere in the front and I'm assuming all the dudes are trying to sit next to her anyways. I find a seat towards the back next to this girl with braces who's wearing a green backpack w/ a huge ass zipper probably wearing a Ruben Studdard shirt. Using my super ultra photographic memory skills, I remember her hanging out with Leanne and Janel who were both hella smart. So I ask her "are you smart?" thinking she would be able to help me w/ this nonsense known as geometry. I don't really remember what her answer was but after that we introduced ourselves. Her name was Jinjer Sison.

As the year went on I veered away from my basketball homies and migrated towards the benches by the theatre to kick it w/ her and her homie g's. We also started doing our homework together over the phone and after we finish we would just talk for a couple of hours about...life. Remember when I had a date w/ kat and I was hella scared to make out so I asked you for pointers? Remember the endless speculations of me and you liking each other? Or leslie? There have been a lot of memories these past 5 years and many many more for years to come.

We've sort of done our own thing since you left for east bay and we'll probably do more of our thing once I leave for Davis but we'll always have the memories. Its cool though cause even after not hanging out for extended periods of time we never miss a beat. It's what I truly appreciate about our relationship. Through everything, you've never judged me and accepted me for my lame-ness and what not and I greatly appreciate that. You've been there for me through everything and all the thank you's in the world wouldn't be enough. Who would have thought? Someone who I thought would just be one of those "class friends" turned out to be the best friend I've ever had till this day. I am a better person because of you and I am forever thankful. Jinshizzle dizzle rizzle shizzle home fry skillet homie g manG, you have and always will be my best friend. Love you manG =)

Don't forget the basketball in rocket shoes and lemonade on the porch when were elderly. Judging from your HORSE skills I got work to do!

My second week of summer is coming to an end and I'd say it was a pretty good week. I typically had a lot of downtime during the days and time would go by pretty slow. However, my days would always pick up as the day progressed.

Wednesday: I watched history as Randy Johnson won his 300th game

Thursday: I went to claim jumpers for Kym's 20th birthday. It was nice seeing a bunch of people from Ohlone. I split a calzone and a red velvet cupcake w/ melissa for a grand total of 8 bucks! I was pretty stoked cause I wasn't super hungry or trying to spend hella money.

After claim jumpers I go home for like 2 minutes and Brian hits me up and asks me if I wanted to go shooting w/ him and Billy. I then head over and after about 10 minutes Billy gets a call from Lisa to go to the karaoke bar. Billy hella didn't wanna go but Alyssa somehow convinced him. We then head over to hayward only to find out there was a limit of 12 people in the room. Shortly after we end up doing what we originally planned to do - shoot.

My pictures turned out ok I guess? I'm still pretty amateur; I'm no Brian Hermosisima. Hopefully the next time I post up pictures they'll turn out better.

Friday: I started the day off going to Milpitas sportscenter to shoot with Jon. We played s
ome 7 up, around the world, horse, and 21. I was hoping there would be more people there but it was nice just to get some shots in. Later that night Matt and I went to watch Hangover. Matt wanted to watch it so bad that he ended up paying for me. I dunno how he gets his money but whatever.

Saturday: As usual, I went to my grandparents house. We just chilled and played some wii bowling and later played some dodgeball - not with red bouncy balls - but with some baseballs. It was pretty brutal.

"It's the ROC"

After some family time, I went to Dave and Busters for the first time with Jinjer and the rest of her fambam to celebrate Fred's birthday. First off, I wanna say thanks to Jomar, Jill, and Ashley for buying drinks. Im paying you guys back when we go to Vegas. I ended up losing 3 bucks to this guy named "buttuh" at the basketball cages. I should've been up like 2 bucks but him and his friend Andre gipped me but its all gravy. Win or lose, I always enjoy the realm of competition. Jomar had extra credits left on his card so we ended up just shooting more at the cages. Me and jinjer tore it up I think? It was kinda hard shooting w/ Nicest constantly yelling in my ear "Don't embarrass me" blah blah. After Dave and Busters closed we went to Fred's house to drink a little and just chill. I ended up heading up at around 4ish? It was a great night out.

Hopefully the rest of the summer will be as eventful as this past week.

Today is game 1 of the NBA finals. I'm pretty excited. Actually, I'm hella excited. I would be more excited if the Warriors were in it. Unfortunately, they decided to suck this year. I'm not a fan of either team involved this year but I would like to see Kobe win one w/o Shaq. Although, I would like to see my boy Foyle win one as well.

The one thing I hate about the Lakers being in the finals AGAIN is all those damn "fans". Laker fans are the most un-objective fans ever. Lets take my brother for example.

Me: Aye would you trade Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, Shannon Brown, and Trevor Ariza for Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, and a draft pick?
Steven: Wth?! No. Bynum will be better than Howard in 2 years, Lamar is a top 20 player, and we don't need Jameer. We have Jordan Farmar -___-

There are many stupid laker fans just like him out there. If I said to a Laker fan that LeBron James is better than Kobe they would look at me like I had just said to Weezy fans that Lil Wayne isn't the greatest rapper alive. *cough Ammo cough* It's ridiculous how they defend Kobe. Get off his nuts! Don't get me wrong, I'm sure theres like...1 objective fan out there.

Oh yeah, and what happened to all those Warrior fans from 2 years back?! The wagons pretty empty nowadays...

ichat

"Andrew, I miss you soooooooo much"

I never use the video chat on my mac but I saw Joomee online and seeing as she is in Korea, I thought it would be nice to see her again. So with a simple click, I see her in a matter of seconds. We catch up and then I realize that I actually don't miss her that much. lol jk Joomee. She has been a great friend of mine these past few years and its always nice to catch up with her. Anyways, it turns out she's coming back next Tuesday cause of some transcript problems w/ SJSU so that going away party we threw her seemed somewhat...pointless. Apparently we're gonna have a thing when she gets back cause Deja and co want a rematch in flip cup so that'll be fun. It has been a long and productive day so I am off to bed. Goodnight world. Shalom!
