I've been on a brief blogging hiatus. I always start blogs and then just leave them as drafts and I never get around to finishing. I dunno why either? I have so much down time. I mean, I don't really work. I should've got a job before summer started but I was in that whole "I wanna enjoy my last summer in Newark phase". A month or two in, I was broke and figured it was too late to get a job since I'm leaving. I would've felt bad if a friend had hooked me up w/ a job or something and I quit within a few months. I would either get a job w/ decent hours for a few months or just chill and be broke. I was in a pickle and chose to go w/ the latter. Things have been pretty chill lately. Downtime does suck when you're not working though. You just feel...lazy.

However, this week was one of my more productive ones.

Tuesday: Went shooting w/ Billy and Lisa

Wednesday: I went to Rio Del Mar beach with Joomee, Brian, Ava, and Danielle Smith. It was a hella nice day. Too bad Brian hella lagged and when we arrived at the beach it got hella cold. We ended up staying at the beach for about 15 minutes and just headed downtown to do some shopping and grab a pie from pizza my heart.

Thursday: This was probably one of my favorite days of this summer. Presh and I went on a double date w/ Ashley and Jr. We went to Sand dollar beach

The date went really well. It was really romantic lol. We walked along the beach, made s'mores, and collected hella sand dollars. I'm rich in sand dollars; too bad sand dollars won't translate into real currency. Presh and I have been hanging out a lot more and she's kinda growing on me. We'll see what happens.

Friday: I went to Twin Lakes for Billy's pre-celebration birthday thingy. I've always been w/ him at midnight for his birthday for like the last 5 years or so? Jinjer calls this "Bromance!" It was a random group of people that went. I guess that is a testament to Billy's personality - random. The people that went were Ava, Billy, Lisa, Michael, Nancy, Lam and Brian. We ended up getting to the beach at about 1150ish and got kicked out at like 12:10. Nancy got a parking ticket in the process. We then just headed to Denny's and chilled there for hella long to conclude the evening.

Saturday: To celebrate Billy's 21st we went to Voodoo in SJ. It was a prettttttty eventful evening.

• Mike almost got arrested for fighting?
• Billy got totally wasted and was yacking for like 2 hours straight. I thought it was hilarious. Yes Billy, I do find some sadistic pleasure in watching you suffer from alcohol. It is a rite of passage to get messed up on his/hers 21st birthday
• We get a call that some dudes are trying to mess w/ presh and Jessica so me, Jomar, and Jon go run to the rescue, but they were driving off when we got there

Prior to that, I had a very enjoyable evening. I didnt drink that much so I was able to witness all this sober. It was pretty interesting Amidst all this Brian and I bonded a little bit. Nancy was taking care of Mike, Lisa was looking out for Billy, Jomar and Jessica were w/ each other, and Jinjer was caring for Presh which left me, Brian, and Jon just chilling waiting for things to resolve.

Today: Another game, another loss. We're 0-5 now. I played pretty well but we came up a little short. We only lost by 8 - as opposed to 30 - so I guess you would say it was a moral victory. After the game, I headed to Milpitas to celebrate Jinjer's cousins birthday. I hadn't eaten all day and I took a 2 shots and I didn't feel good at all. I cut out at like 12:15ish and then now I'm writing this while watching the Espys.
