This past weekend was spent celebrating the 21st birthday of my good friend Darwin Eng.

"I am from China, I am so happy to be here in America!"
Coming into Davis I knew very little people here. I had some friends from high school here and there but nothing significant. Darwin and I attended Ohlone together but we did not formally meet until about 2 weeks before our last semester there. We knew of each other mostly because of mutual friends. I knew him as the buff soccer player. He knew me as the stud from newark who sat in the same spot in hyman every day. jk about hyman part. Anyways, after having a few convo's here and there we facebooked each other about our experiences at orientation/davis etc. He had taken summer session so he had an idea of how everything worked here. He told me to hit him up when I arrived and I took him up on that offer. He fixed my bike the first time we hung out. Our friendship has progressed from that point on. Darwin is the nicest, goofiest, and most generous person you'll ever meet. As we've become more and more entrenched into the davis world, we've been branching away from our bromance and hanging out with other people but we are forever bonded due to our experience as transfers and for that, I am very appreciative. I wouldn't have been able to get through my first 2 quarters without you, Darwin. Thank you.
Alright bromance stuff is finished. Birthday weekend recap to follow soon.
