The start of this year has been so shitty. The ankle sprain has allowed me to do...nothing. The only things I do in davis are play basketball, study, or work out. I've done none of that since the injury. I haven't bought my books cause they're like 3 floors down with no elevator discouraging me and my crutches from going down there. Although, my dad did just get netflix so that kept me occupied. I recently discovered parks and recreation. Aziz is great. One of my favorite scenes:
My ankle is taking wayyyyyy longer to heal than I thought it would. It didn't help that I stupidly went out to ket last week to dance with her. Our first IM game was yesterday and I tried playing. I played 5 minutes and sat out. We lost 59 - 37. I'd like to think, if i were healthy, we would only lose by 5 or so.
MLK weekend:
Joomee came up on Friday to visit me. Even though she did not come with my long overdue housewarming gift, it was really nice of her to come and stay for the day. It was tough finding things to do out here cause you know, davis is like the most cracking city ever. I'm glad she was content on having a homecooked meal, meeting some of my friends, and just catching up. We always talk about what it would be like if she came to Davis and we got a small glimpse of that. I think it would have made my college experience way more enjoyable. Anyways, Mlk weekend always coincides with my mom and grandmas birthday. We all went out to dinner at some thai place. Other then that my weekend was pretty uneventful. I got sick. My immune system is the worst; I blame my mom for that. "yo ho sunfooouhhh" This translates to "I'm so miserable". Everytime I come home, this is the first thing my mom says to me with her tissue stuck up her congested nose.
I hung out with Billy Saturday night. We watched transformers and caught up. I'm glad he doesnt hate me anymore for IMing him w/ nonsense or constantly asking him for sandwiches. Jinjer brought me tea and dessert. The dessert was mostly for herself. Man I love that girl. She's the best. Its weird to think about how our friendship has evolved over the years. Its been so long. We're like classics! My friends make home...home.
Heres to a great February and the rest of the year...
