Anywho my summer has consisted of:
Summer school
Basketball
Gym
This girl
Poker
Bowling
Work
Unexpected friends
Summer school - summer school was fun this time around. Last summer I took bio and I had no friends in that class. Everybody in class was either hella old or an overachieving freshman from mission who would have their parents wait for them before and after class. It was a complete 360 this time around. Every day I would walk to school at 9:45 w/ this monster:

She is one of a kind and hopefully the last of her species. Jk Joomee. You're a cool chick. Everyday we would walk to speech 103 and sit in class and surf the web. I would get all my fantasy baseball stuff done and myspacing/facebooking out of the way. I met a lot of new people and as well as rekindling old friendships. The class was a joke. Easiest A of my life.
Basketball - Our Saturday nights at Birch have been slowly dwindling. We have converted to Ash park on weekdays. A select few have transferred over to Ash and its nice to have that chemistry translate over when you're playing against random people. Its really competitive out there and I have rediscovered my passion for the game that was once taken away by Mr. Craig Ashmore.
Oh and purple cobras? I don't even wanna talk about that. Lets just say we didn't play up to our potential. It was embarrassing to say the least.
Gym - Throughout the whole spring semester I heard "dang Andrew, you're fat" from Lam. I didn't mind. If anything, I used it for motivation to get back to the gym. I never really took what he said seriously until I saw my Ohlone ID card. Dang, my cheeks were hella chubby. That freshman 15 rule hella applied to me except it translated over to sophmore and junior year lol. I finally took action and started going to the gym frequently. I'm not quite where I want to be but I have seen improvements. I'm a work in progress.
This girl - I guess you could say she was a significant part of my summer. Ahhhh what a roller coaster ride though. We've had our up and downs but overall I enjoyed the time we spent. I really liked this girl but we just could never get the timing right. Chandler Bing says it best. "I love the idea of the one but I actually believe there isn't a miss right. There are 12,000 miss rights and its all about timing." We're still friends which is fortunate. I do wish her the best w/ whomever and I'm sure she does as well.
Poker - I spent so many hours playing poker to the wee hours of the morning and overall I'm probably up 2 dollars lol. I really don't mind though. The best part of it was everyone just getting together and chilling. That brotherhood or camaraderie was the real reason for playing. I really think people underestimate the significance of just hanging out. Nowadays people always have to be doing something. I honestly didn't mind just sitting there hanging out w/ the guys even if it meant losing 10 or 20 bucks...or 30...or 40 haha. Jk, I never lost that much.
Bowling - Once again, the camaraderie. It was fun just having everyone get together. Add in the essence of competition and it makes it that much greater. Look at Chungs flawless form and reaction afterwards lol
Work - The low point of my summer. Work is lame. Its incredibly boring especially since I don't really talk to anyone there. Before I got there, there was already this inner circle thats like impossible to penetrate through. I usually just go to the locker room and clean lockers and be hella antisocial.
Unexpected friends - With the exception of a select few I didn't really hang out w/ the people who I expected to hang out with. A person who sticks out in my head is bernadette, I mean Bernie. lol. We had speech together. I met her like once prior to that class. She's a cool girl. We actually went to the batting cages like a week ago. It was my first time ever. Thanks Bernie. I thought we would just be "class friends" but obviously I was wrong. This is us at Malibu.

I also never expected to hang out Chung, Daniel, twins, big jeff, and Chen. I mean, we always played ball together but nowadays I find myself spending the majority of my time with them whether its going to the gym, chilling at tapioca, playing poker, or hooping. They're good people. I wish I hung out w/ them more throughout high school. More often than not we find ourselves talking about high school. Its always a good time chilling w/ those guys.
Wow, this was a lot longer then I thought it would. Hopefully my words kept you somewhat entertained. I used the word camaraderie a lot in this blog. I guess my summer would be better summed up by the word camaraderie. Its a lot better then Brandon Roy.
