On Saturday evening/Sunday morning I watched the USA team win gold with my brother and his indian friends whom I'm very fond of by the way. They are a good group of kids. Anyways, it was a really close game and USA came up on top. The USA has been criticized for years for being too flashy and more recently inferior to the international game. Albeit, the world has caught up with the U.S. but I feel that at their best they shouldn't be beaten. They haven't won gold the last 2 olympics and now the NBA's best felt the need to represent their country. One question, where was Adonal Foyle?
Jk
It was nice to see the patriotism displayed by the team, the respect of the ability of their opponents, and appreciation for what the Olympics are all about. They sacrificed individual accolades for the betterment of the team. Also, to see the faces of all the players after the game. You could see the happiness in all their faces which was a beautiful beautiful sight. It was very touching. It made me proud to be an American.
They fulfilled the name redeem team in every sense of the word.
