I had my first class today marking the end of my winter break. No more sleeping at the wee hours of the night, but instead waking up at the wee hours of the morning. Break was good to me. I didn't spend enough time with the people who I intended on spending time with. I hung out with a bunch of random friends. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy hanging out with those people, it was just...different. A lot of things changed back home. We didn't even have our annual Christmas/Thanksgiving get togethers. All of us have grown apart but have always found time to get together for the holidays.

I don't know. It was my first time being home for an extended amount of time. I sort of - naively - expected everything to be the same as when I left in the summer. Everyone is doing their own thing now. And thats the way it should be. I mean, it would have been nice for all my friendships to have remained as strong as before but unfortunately thats not how it works. Things change, people change, and priorities change.

One thing that we can be sure of, the only consistent thing in life, is that nothing is permanent. It is that constant change that makes us all alike.
